In this edition of Inside Chalk Hill, we’re delighted to introduce David Hodges, who joins the team bringing a wealth of experience in finance and accountancy recruitment - and a reputation for building trusted, long-term relationships.

David’s recruitment career began after graduating from the University of Reading, where he developed a natural interest in people, communication, and helping others navigate important career decisions. He entered the recruitment world in 2012, quickly establishing himself as a skilled and dependable consultant in the finance sector.

He went on to become a key part of his last business, where over more than a decade he progressed to Director, leading Interim & Contract Recruitment across finance and accountancy. During this time, David worked closely with organisations ranging from high-growth SMEs to large established businesses, supporting them in securing top-tier finance professionals at critical moments. Now, David brings this experience, market knowledge and consultative approach to Chalk Hill Group, helping strengthen our finance and accounting recruitment offering and supporting clients through evolving hiring challenges.

David is known for taking time to understand both client needs and candidate aspirations in detail. His style is built on trust, transparency and responsiveness - ensuring that every placement is about the right fit, not just filling a vacancy. With deep expertise in interim and contract recruitment, David has extensive experience supporting roles including:
